Four of our class 8A, Srushti, Zara, Harkirat and Neville, represented their class for the Sigma 8 Maths competition this past Thursday and Friday 28tha and 29th April. Sigma 8 (SigmaÅtta) is a mathematics competition for school classes in Sweden and in the Nordic countries. Out of 30 municipal schools in Sweden our 8A reached the semifinals.
Our 8A students did a really good job with the presentation, exhibition and problem solving however they did not make it to the finals. This was a unique experience through which they learned more about expressing their opinions, thoughts and ideas in a creative manner. It was fun to meet the students and teachers from different places and spend some time together during lunch, dinner and our overnight stay yesterday.
