Admission Policy
Futuraskolan International School of Stockholm admits students from the international expatriate community who have recently moved to Sweden. We accept students whose families have moved back to Sweden and have attended an international school abroad and wish to continue their international education. We also accept students permanently living in Sweden, who will be moving from Sweden and will have to continue their education at an international school abroad.
Futuraskolan International School of Stockholm admits students regardless of religion, ethnic or national origin, and gender to all the rights and privileges, programs and activities made available to students at the school. Futuraskolan International School of Stockholm does not discriminate on the basis of religion, ethnic, or national origin or gender in our admissions or educational policies.
We welcome prospective parents to try arrange a private tour of the school prior to admittance. Please contact our Registrar for an appointment. Placement shall be based upon the student’s age, his/her previous grade placement and previous school records.
Students may be enrolled at Futuraskolan International School of Stockholm upon completion of the admissions process, which requires (a) a completed application packet (Application Form, EAL Form, Photo consent From, Dietary Form, Health Record (to school nurse), a copy of passports of both parent/guardian & applicant) (b) records and grade placement from previous schools attended (c) a valid resident permit and personal number of both parent/guardian & applicant (d) submission of the Criteria for Application Form and date of arrival to Sweden/duration of stay (e) payment of the non-refundable Application Fee.
After the application and all supporting documents have been received and reviewed by school administration. If needed, an applicant may be scheduled for an interview by the Principal/Vice-Principal.
Any student with mild to moderate special needs (academic or physical) must submit all appropriate documentation with the school application and meet with the Principal and/or Student Support Team (SST) so that we can better address the student’s educational, physical or emotional needs.
Futuraskolan International School of Stockholm is not equipped to accommodate students with severe academic or physical handicaps. In the case where a special need has not been identified, the school reserves the right to review the situation in order to assess the appropriateness of the student’s presence at the school based on our capacity to meet the student’s needs.
Applicants will be offered as soon as a placement is available in accordance to the Admission Policy.
